Taken Consumption Chest Location

The Taken Consumption Chest is a loot container in Destiny: The Taken King. It’s not locked, but it can be difficult to open – it is surrounded with poison gas. When you approach it, you’ll start taking damage. Without the right approach, you’ll die before you can open it. Where to find Taken Consumption Chest

The poison chest can be found in the Hall of Souls. When you reach the Court of Oryx platform, float above the middle chasm, to the last platform on the left. Go through the door and turn right into the tunnel. It will lead you into a large room with another tunnel dead in front of you. Follow it until you reach the chest.

How to open Taken Consumption Chest

The poison chest will apply the Taken Consumption buff when you approach it, dealing damage over time. Trying to open it using brute force will end with your death. There are two ways to resolve this problem:

1. Patrol the Hall of Souls until you find Acolytes praying. Attack them to start the Taken Invasion event. When you’ve cleared them all, you’ll get an orb relic which gives you the Interloper buff. It will protect you from the Taken Consumption for 90 seconds. Get to the chest and open it before the timer runs out.
2. Go to the chest, use your Super and open it:
   • Titan: Defender/Sunbreaker with Blessing of Light.
   • Hunter: Bladedancer.
   • Warlock: Sunsinger/Stormcaller with Radiant Skin.
